Description: 

The American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED online course will prepare participants to recognize and care for a variety of first aid, breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults, children and infants. The course features simulation learning and an interactive experience where you will respond to real-world emergencies in a virtual setting.

This is a self-paced online course. The course must be completed within 45 days of the end of the public health emergency.

This course addresses the following age band(s):

  • Early childhood - early (birth-36 months)
  • Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
  • Early childhood - late (5-8 years)

Technology requirements: This course requires a personal computer or tablet with a high-speed internet connection. This course is not supported on smartphones. This course does not work with Internet Explorer

Instructions: 
Once registered through PDIS, please upload your current (or recently expired) first aid/CPR/AED certification card to the certifications in your PDIS account (accessed through the “Home” or “My Resume” sections). After your certification is verified, you will receive an email with information on how to access the course. This course is designed to be taken at your own pace. Allow approximately two hours and 45 minutes to complete the course. The course must be completed within 45 days after the end of the public health emergency. Three professional learning units (PLUs) will be issued upon proof of course completion.
