This session will aid participants in understanding strategies for effective tax filing, required federal tax forms based on the legal structure of a business and child care tax deductions. The session will also review DC-specific requirements and information for small businesses such as form FR-500 (for registering a new business), the certificate of clean hands, DC’s online tax system Mytaxdc.gov and federal and state tax audits.
