Description: 

Music and dance provide joy and laughter for many children. These performing artforms are a deep source of self-expression and creativity. During this interactive session, participants will learn strategies for guiding young children through the composition and creation of music and dance stories. Participants will identify a variety of cross-curricular standards including, but not limited to, coordination of large muscles, self-expression and phonological awareness.

This course addresses the following age band(s):

  • Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
  • Early childhood - late (5-8 years)
  • School age (5-12 years)
