Description: 

In this session, participants will review and compare elements of evidence-based family engagement models and create a family engagement plan for their own classrooms using the knowledge gained about programs. This training is open to educators serving students in pre-K3 through grade 3 in public schools, public charter schools and Head Start agencies in the District of Columbia, with an aim toward increasing coordination between local education agencies (LEAs) and Head Start agencies through joint professional development.

Participants will receive six professional learning units (PLUs) for full attendance and completion of the training.
