This session will provide educators an opportunity to learn instructional activities that build the foundation for children’s literacy. Using play to engage young children, teachers will learn to enhance their students’ oral language and background knowledge. These skills will prepare children for future literacy learning and success.

This course addresses the following age band(s):

  • Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
  • Early childhood - late (5-8 years)
  • School age (5-12 years)
