Date and Time:
Saturday, October 16, 2021 - 10:00am to 12:00pm
Description:

When communicating with their staff and families, it is less likely that a program leader will be persuasive and influential if the leader is perceived as abrasive. Staff and families may see a program leader as abrasive when the leader tries to persuade them to compromise before they have been given an opportunity to state their position, making the staff and families feel unheard. In this session, the third of a six-part series, we will examine and learn how to apply effective skills for persuasive communication and collaboration. It is only when communication is two-way and both parties feel understood that you can work together to find a compromise and lasting solutions.
