Description:

During this session, participants will learn to identify how the process of assessment can help them be more effective as a director or family home provider. Participants will examine the “National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Code of Ethical Conduct: Supplement for Early Childhood Program Administrators” to confirm the importance of evaluation and how to address the concept of performance evaluation. Participants will be able to describe the four types of assessment, their purposes and how each one can help support the children, the classroom and the program. Participants will also discuss ways that assessment helps programs and families work together to identify and meet the needs of the children.
