Educators will explore the benefits of mindfulness in both their personal and professional lives, with a focus on the positive impact an educator with a calm, centered presence has on student outcomes. Mindfulness is a proven way to support health and well-being in the classroom; it cultivates presence, building the capacity for focus and attention and creating awareness of one’s emotions, thoughts and behaviors. During this training, participants will explore the important role that a calm and responsive adult plays in helping young children learn and grow. They will learn mindfulness strategies that contribute to nurturing a positive classroom climate and students’ overall health and well-being as well as reducing educator stress and burnout.
