Description:

This interactive session will focus on the building blocks of emergent literacy, highlighting phonological awareness and the alphabetic principle. The trainer will demonstrate that just 10 minutes of language play each day is not only fun for children but provides the basis for the development of phonological awareness. As children become phonologically aware and begin to learn the predictable relationship between sounds and letters, they develop an understanding of the alphabetic principle.
