Description:

DC Child Care Connections (DC CCC) will sponsor one free training offered by Cypherworx for educators of school-age children each month. The training for November is “Exploring the Continuum of Developmental Tasks of School-Age Children Ages 5-12 Years.” Once registered and approved, the self-paced training will be made available to you to complete any time between Nov. 1-30, 2020.

The November session is designed to assist afterschool staff in understanding the continuum of ongoing development of children between the ages of 5 and 12. When staff know and understand the developmental tasks of school-age children, they can work with children and colleagues to design effective environments, plan engaging activities, set appropriate expectations and limits and guide children’s behavior effectively.

This training addresses the following age band(s):

  • School age (5-12 years)
