Description:

DC Child Care Connections (DC CCC) continues to sponsor monthly free trainings offered by Cypherworx for educators of school-age children each month. The training for September is “Exploring Four Areas of Development in School-Age Children.” Once registered and approved, the self-paced training will be made available to you to complete any time between Sept. 1-30, 2021.

One of the most helpful ways to gain an understanding of the needs and interests of school-age youth between 5 and 12 years old is to examine their development from four perspectives: physical development, social development, cognitive development and emotional development. In this training, participants wil identify the milestones, needs and interests of school-age children in these four areas.

This training addresses the following age band(s):

  • School age (5-12 years)
