Description:
Explore how to teach rhyme and rhythm with your fingers! Early childhood educators are naturals at engaging children through storytelling. Participants will tap into their own character voices, facial expressions and hand gestures to learn to tell short and simple finger play stories. They will learn to chant simple songs and create characters that illustrate spatial relationships, positional language, emotions, opposites and more. Participants will also practice creating finger plays to connect books and classroom themes.
This course addresses the following age band(s):
- Early childhood - early (birth-36 months)
- Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
- Early childhood - late (5-8 years)
