Description:
Are you an educator who wants to incorporate healthy habits into your early childhood classroom? Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed) makes it easier to learn about healthy food and physical activity choices. Hurley and Associates, LLC (H&A), in partnership with SNAP-Ed at the College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences (CAUSES) at the University of the District of Columbia (UDC), will host monthly wellness sessions designed to assist the District’s child care community in planning meals for young children. All sessions will provide wellness information plus live cooking demonstrations. This session will focus on making apple chicken salad.
This course addresses the following age band(s):
- Early childhood - early (birth-36 months)
- Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
- Early childhood - late (5-8 years)
