DC Child Care Connections (DC CCC) is sponsoring one free training offered by Cypherworx for educators of school-age children each month. The training for May/June is “Guiding School-Age Children in Groups: Supervision and Boundaries.” Once registered and approved, the self-paced training will be made available to you to complete any time between May 1-June 30, 2021.

When large numbers of children are involved in a school-age program, it is challenging to create and deliver program activities that can meet the needs of all children. The key to success is taking a systematic approach to program planning. It is important for staff to understand how to select appropriate activity options and use effective management strategies that make it possible to offer a balanced variety of simultaneous activity options. In this course, we will explore supervision and boundaries in a school-age program.

This training addresses the following age band(s):

  • School age (5-12 years)
