Description:

This interactive session will focus on phonological awareness and highlight the joy of playing with the sound of language. The trainer will demonstrate that just 10 minutes of language play each day is not only fun for children but provides the basis for the development of phonological awareness. As children become phonologically aware, they begin to learn the predictable relationship between sounds and letters. Playing with language through rhymes, chants, songs, rhythm instruments and clapping is an enjoyable way to help children become aware of the individual sounds and cadence of language.

This course addresses the following age band(s):

  • Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
