Description:
This course provides basic knowledge of transportation regulations and includes a demonstration on how to properly conduct a vehicle passenger check, the use of child safety restraints required by District law, proper loading, unloading and monitoring of children. Participants will learn where to find vehicular first aid supplies and how to conduct emergency procedures and response in the event of accidents or breakdowns. During this session, participants will learn how to prevent avoidable bike and pedestrian injuries at school and at play, the safest places to walk and ride a bike and the proper way to fit helmets.

- Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
- Early childhood - late (5-8 years)
