This training will provide early childhood educators information on recognizing the signs of child abuse and how to make a report. This training will also introduce shaken baby syndrome/abusive head trauma and infant abuse prevention. This session will include discussion about common injuries, coping mechanisms and a simulation of injuries that could result when a baby is shaken.

This course addresses the following age band(s):

  • Early childhood - early (birth-36 months)
  • Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
