This interactive experience incorporates research from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the Fred Rogers Center and the American Academy of Pediatrics to discuss the appropriate usage of technology with school-age learners. Participants will engage in hands-on opportunities to: 1) explore digital tools that will enhance their current standards-based instructional practices; 2) participate in a variety of child-driven technology projects; and 3) participate in a school-age level “coding” lesson to demonstrate cross-cutting concepts in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).
