Description:
This training will provide an overview of the practice of inclusion of children with special needs in out-of-school time programming. During the training, participants will learn to identify important laws and current best practices regarding inclusion in their programs. Participants will become familiar with different types of special needs, begin to formulate a vision for inclusion to support children of all abilities and their families and discuss the benefits of inclusion for children and their families. Participants will have an opportunity to voice concerns, share successes and discuss strategies for including all children in their programs.
