THIS IS PART ONE OF A TWO-DAY COURSE. Participants must attend both sessions to earn the PLUs for this course.

This advanced lab session is designed for experienced Teaching Strategies GOLD users. It will guide teachers through the processes of: 1) relating their observations of children to the objectives for development and learning and 2) scaffolding children's learning accordingly. Teachers will learn how to: 1) capture useful evidence of children's development and learning, 2) practice analyzing documentation, 3) explore strategies to maximize planning time and 4) use the reports in GOLD to inform instructional decisions.

This course addresses the following age band(s):

  • Early childhood - early (birth-36 months)
  • Early childhood - middle (36-60 months)
  • Early childhood - late (5-8 years)
